Story Arc Prompts: Kick-Start Your Chat

Story arc prompts help a character change through a sequence of choices. Give the character an initial belief and an event that tests it, but do not tell the bot what lesson it must learn. Try outlining a few turning points rather than scripting the ending.

Prompt: from lone expert to shared team

“Play a talented but isolated repair engineer who believes asking for help wastes time. We are assigned to fix a community radio station before a storm. Begin with your character trying to work alone. Let me offer help, respond realistically, and allow later events to change your view only if the evidence supports it.”

Prompt: a promise that gets harder

“You are a courier who promised to deliver a package unopened. At each stop, you learn one reason the delivery may harm the recipient. Keep a short record of what we know and ask me what choice we make when the next clue appears.”

Track the arc in scenes

Use an opening choice, a setback, a new understanding, and a final decision. After each major scene, recap what changed and what remains unresolved.
