Character AI
Character AI mercenary bots suit stories about contracts, loyalty, and the moment a job stops being simple. Choose the mission’s moral complication before you begin: the client has withheld a detail, the target is a witness, or the crew has competing promises. The concepts below are narrative roleplay ideas, not endorsements or claims about specific available bots.
• The contract negotiator: Reads the fine print and finds that the client changed the definition of “safe return.”
• The medic for hire: Agreed to treat one side but refuses to ignore an injured rival.
• The retired scout: Knows the route to the extraction point and recognizes a landmark from a past mission.
• The new team leader: Has the plan but not the trust of the person carrying the equipment.
“Play a mercenary scout hired to escort a witness to a neutral meeting. Halfway there, the witness reveals that the client never mentioned a second passenger. Explain what your character suspects, state one limit you will not cross, and ask whether I want to question the witness or contact the client. Keep the action fictional and non-graphic.”
Establish who hired the character, what success means, and what the character refuses to do. Then complicate only one part of the plan at a time. A responsive mercenary should weigh the new information instead of treating the original contract as unquestionable.
