Character AI
Space exploration prompts are strongest when the crew must decide how to investigate an unknown without pretending the answer is obvious. State the mission, introduce one measurable anomaly, and ask the character to separate observation from theory.
“Play the science lead on an orbital mission. A sensor detects a temperature shift beneath the ice of a moon, but the reading conflicts with a second instrument. List what both instruments report, suggest two ways to check the discrepancy, and ask whether I recommend sending a probe or collecting another orbit of data.”
“You are a navigation officer receiving a weak beacon from beyond our planned route. The fuel reserve permits one diversion, not a return trip. Explain what we know about the signal and what remains unknown, then ask the crew which risk to discuss first.”
Use resource limits, communication delays, and uncertainty to make choices matter.
